New York’s Staten Island. The Staten Island Expressway in Brooklyn is experiencing significant delays during the Tuesday morning rush hour, according to Notify NYC.
Notify NYC reports that traffic is backed up on the Staten Island Expressway due to a collision near Hylan Boulevard.
According to a Notify NYC advisory that was sent out at approximately 8:45 a.m., take other routes and factor in extra travel time.
An emergency reaction is visible in the right lane close to Clove Road, according to surveillance footage. The HOV lane is being used to redirect traffic.
Beginning at Clove Road, traffic is jammed nearly all the way along the Brooklyn-bound motorway.
Goethals Bridge
Around 8:45 a.m., a crash that left the right lane obstructed caused residual delays on the Goethals Bridge to Staten Island, according to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey.
511 NY reports that during the emergency reaction to the incident involving injuries, the right lane of the Staten Island-bound span was stopped.
The Port Authority reports that the collision on the bridge was cleared at approximately nine in the morning.
Outerbridge Crossing
Earlier in the Tuesday morning rush hour, police were called to a collision on the Outerbridge Crossing, which was headed toward Staten Island.
An warning on 511 NY stated that the right lane was closed due to a mid-span collision.
511 NY reports that the event was reported at 6:41 a.m.
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey also issued an alert.
