Vehicle flips on Staten Island Expressway Saturday night, snarls traffic

New York’s Staten Island — The Staten Island Expressway’s New Jersey-bound lanes were momentarily closed on Saturday night due to a car flip.

Emergency transmissions indicate that the incident occurred close to the South Avenue exit just after 8 p.m.

While traffic was stopped, a video posted on the Citizen App showed multiple FDNY vehicles at the scene, along with a tow truck attempting to right the vehicle.

The traffic was starting to move out at 9:15 p.m.
