Yesterday afternoon in New York City, two TAKE 5 lottery players won top jackpots totaling thousands of dollars.

The winner of the Bronx’s lunchtime top prize ticket, who purchased it from Jher Inc., located at 3287A Westchester Ave., took home $6,672.50.

For the midday drawing, the other winner also received their $6,672.50 ticket from Canarsie Grocery Inc., located at 1214 Remsen Ave. in Brooklyn.

TAKE Five numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 39. The five numbers on your ticket must match the winning five-number combination selected in order to win the TAKE 5 jackpot. Each game costs $1 to play.

Twice a day at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m., the drawing is shown on television. To find out if they have the winning numbers for the respective midday or evening drawing, players who have both the midday and evening drawings on the same ticket must verify their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov.

There is a 1 in 575,757 chance of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot.
