NY weather: Anticipate light snow in Ulster and Dutchess counties Monday afternoon

At 11:57 a.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service published a forecast for Ulster and Dutchess counties that called for light snow through 2:15 p.m.

Through 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, there will be light snowfall in parts of the mid-Hudson Valley, the southeast Catskills, and Litchfield County in northwest Connecticut. Even while there won’t be much snowfall—usually less than an inch—the cold ground surfaces might make travel extremely slick, especially on untreated highways. Light accumulating snowfall is most likely to occur in areas nearest to Interstate 84 during this period, the weather agency said.
