In order to identify and track down a person wanted in relation to an alleged brutal physical assault of a 79-year-old woman in Manhattan, the NYPD is requesting the public’s help.
Police were notified that the victim and an unnamed person got into a verbal altercation at 300 West 17th St. on Monday, January 6, at around 11:50 a.m.
According to a statement from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner of Public Information, the person allegedly repeatedly hit the woman in the head and face before running away west on 17th Street.
According to authorities, the person received on-scene medical attention from EMS but was not admitted to the hospital.
The NYPD made surveillance photos of the wanted person public.
