The NYPD is requesting the public’s help in locating two people who are wanted for interrogation in relation to a string of robberies that are purported to have taken place in Manhattan and Queens.
According to authorities, two unidentified people allegedly distracted a UPS driver and took a package containing $163,000 worth of jewels from the rear of the truck on Friday, September 20, at around 2:00 p.m., in the area of 82 Bowery St. in Manhattan. No injuries were reported, and the people fled on foot.
In the area of Northern Boulevard and 159th Street in Queens, on Thursday, September 12, at around 2:40 p.m., a 48-year-old woman victim got out of her car to check on a problem with her rear passenger tire when the two unidentified people reportedly took a package out of the car. According to authorities, the two left the scene on foot and there were no reported injuries.
Later that same day, at around 5 p.m., the two unidentified individuals allegedly took a jewelry-containing bag from the car of a 33-year-old male victim who was changing his tire at the intersection of 11th Avenue and West 46th Street in Manhattan. The victim then reportedly fled the scene on foot. There were no reported injuries.
The NYPD made surveillance photos of the people they were looking for public.
