Girl Scouts to discontinue two flavors at the end of 2025

After the 2025 season, two varieties of Girl Scout cookies will no longer be available.

Customers will be saying goodbye to Toast-Yay! and S mores, according to a statement released by the Girl Scouts of the USA, CNN reported.

Toast-Yay!, which is based on French toast, has only been a part of the Girl Scouts’ repertoire since 2021, despite S mores being a mainstay since 2017.

It is believed that these two tastes will be discontinued to make room for a refreshed lineup, though no explanation has been provided.

The GSUSA expects the earlier notification will help avoid a repeat of the disastrous 2023 Raspberry Rally discontinuance. At the end of the season, boxes were resold on eBay for as much as $30 each after the organization announced the end of that cookie.

GSUSA councils are also dictating a price increase for the cookies themselves.According to CNN, a box may cost $7, which is $1 more than it was two years ago. The last increment was from $4 to $5 in 2015, ten years prior to the $1 increase to $6 in 2023.

Therefore, the cost of the delicious delights might range from $4 to $7, depending on where you are in the US.

“In certain cases, councils are faced with the difficult decision to raise prices, even though prices have remained steady in many areas for a number of years,” a CNN spokeswoman said.

The Girl Scouts sell their cookies in pop-up booths from January to April, though the best time to purchase them varies depending on where you live in the country.

Starting February 21, you can get the cookies online from the Girl Scout website if you are unable to visit a booth or don’t know any Girl Scouts.
