Tesla recalls thousands of popular models over risk of crash when reversing

New York’s Staten Island — A safety recall for a number of Tesla Motors’ best-selling models has been issued.

For its 2024–2025 Model 3, 2024–2025 Model S, 2023–2025 Model X, and 2023–2025 Model Y automobiles, the electric car manufacturer has issued a recall.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has announced that 239,382 Tesla vehicles are part of the recall.

A circuit board that could short when turned on and cause the rearview camera to stop working is the primary cause of the recall. This might affect rear visibility and raise the possibility of an accident.

The NHTSA claims that Tesla has addressed the problem by releasing an over-the-air software update.

Additionally, the business promised to identify any cars that had previously encountered a circuit board problem. Additionally, it will search for cars with issues that could cause a circuit board failure and replace the impacted systems at no cost.

Tesla will send notification letters to the owners of the impacted vehicles. On March 7, 2025, these are anticipated to be mailed.

To find out if their vehicle is impacted by this recall, Tesla customers can also call the company’s customer support line at 1-877-798-3752 or the NHTSA’s Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
