Which were the most popular used cars in 2024?

New York’s Staten Island — Although millions of secondhand automobiles are purchased by Americans annually, some types and models are far more well-liked than others.

In order to determine which cars, trucks, and SUVs sold the most in the previous year, the automotive research business iSeeCars recently released a new study of the best-selling used vehicles in 2024. The study involved an analysis of approximately eight million used vehicle sales records.

The top-selling automobiles in 2024 were similar to those of previous years, with SUVs and pickup trucks controlling the American auto industry.

According to the analysis, the Ford F-150, Chevrolet Silverado 1500, and Ram 1500 were the top-selling full-size pickup trucks on the used car market in 2024, demonstrating America’s ongoing love affair with these cars.

Over the course of the previous year, just three pickup trucks accounted for 7.5% of all used car sales nationwide.

Only two sedans, the Toyota Camry and Honda Civic, made it into the top 10 after the top-ranked pickup trucks, with the majority of the list being made up of SUVs.

SUVs and crossovers continue to be the best-selling vehicles in the new car market, which means that they are also the most sought-after vehicles in the used market. According to the report, Americans are increasingly choosing utility vehicles over minivans, wagons, hatchbacks, and sedans, as seen by the fact that SUVs take up 65 of the top 100 spots.

The survey also looks at the best-selling used cars by city, suggesting that people in New York City might not be as fond of pickup trucks as those in most other parts of the nation.
