NY weather update: Lake effect snow warning affecting Oswego County until Wednesday afternoon

On Wednesday at 3:49 a.m. the National Weather Service issued an updated lake effect snow warning in effect until 1 p.m. regarding Oswego County.

The weather service comments, “Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations 4 to 8 inches in the most persistent lake snows, mainly near and a bit inland from Mexico Bay.”

“Travel will be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning commute,” adds the weather service. “Heavy snow will fall in relatively narrow bands. If traveling, be prepared for rapidly changing road conditions and visibilities.”
