NY weather update: Wind advisory for New York until 1 a.m. Tuesday

At 1:52 p.m. on Monday, the National Weather Service issued an updated wind advisory for St. Lawrence, Franklin, and Clinton counties that will be in force until Tuesday at 1 a.m.

According to the weather service, there will be “Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
