NY weather: Wind advisory for part of New York until Wednesday night

On Wednesday between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m., the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Manhattan, the Bronx, Staten Island, Brooklyn, and Queens, as well as Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester, Suffolk, and Nassau counties, at 3:09 a.m.

In the forecast, the weather service states that “west winds becoming northwest this afternoon 20 to 25 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph expected.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.

United Robots offers a service called Advance Local Weather Alerts that gathers the most recent information from the National Weather Service using machine learning.
