NY weather: Wind advisory for New York until Wednesday night

The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Herkimer, Fulton, Montgomery, Saratoga, Schoharie, Schenectady, Albany, Rensselaer, Greene, Columbia, Ulster, Dutchess, and Washington counties on Wednesday at 3:37 p.m., which was in force until 10 p.m.

As stated by the meteorological service, “Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 55 mph.”

“Unsecured objects will be buffeted by gusty gusts. According to the weather service, there may be a few power outages and tree branches that are blown down. Strong winds like these can make driving challenging, particularly for well-known cars. Be especially careful. Protect outdoor items.
