N.Y. Lottery: NYC player claims Cash4Life top prize of $1,000 a week for life

According to lottery authorities, a New York City lottery player who won the top prize in a Cash4Life drawing has claimed $1,000 every week for the rest of their life.

Rockaway Beach, Queens resident Nelson Lanfranco has won a $1,000 weekly prize for life after correctly matching all six numbers in the October 10, 2024, CASH4LIFE drawing. A minimum payout of $7 million is guaranteed for the top prize.

The winning ticket was bought in Newburgh at Smokes 4 Less, which is situated at 59 North Plank Road.

After the necessary withholdings, Lanfranko chose to receive a single lump sum payment of $4,285,680.

The winning numbers were Cash Ball 3, 5, 7, 12, 34, and 60.

In the Cash4Life game, winning numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 60. A different field with numbers 1 through 4 is used to draw the cash ball. Match the six numbers on your ticket to the winning six-number combination that is drawn, which consists of five numbers plus the cash ball, to win the Cash4Life top prize.

The grand reward is a lifetime of $1,000 every day. At the winner’s election, it can be paid as a one-time lump sum payment or as a $365,000 annual annuity for the winner’s lifetime (minimum of 20 years). The lump sum payment is equivalent to the expected amount of money needed to buy the annuity.

Every day at around nine o’clock at night, the Cash4Life drawing is held.
