Scarlett Johansson and S.I. native Colin Jost give a sweet, rare glimpse into their marriage

On a recent episode of Today, viewers of Saturday Night Live were given a unique look into the very private marriage of Black Widow star Scarlett Johansson and her husband, head writer Colin Jost.

Before facing off against Scarlett in the Great Debate part of the talk program she cohosted with Jenna Bush Hager, the former Staten Islander surprised her with a massive bouquet of flowers.

Thank you, sweetie! When the bouquet was shown to the Lost in Translation star, she cried out. Are you using these to try to prevent me from reaching the buzzer quickly enough? With these, I feel like I’ve won Miss America.

I now work here.Is it acceptable that you have to do the cereal every morning?

Scarlett, who has a 3-year-old son named Cosmo with Colin and a 10-year-old daughter named Rose with her ex-husband Romain Dauriac, put her head on her husband’s shoulder and put her hand on his arm to express her gratitude for his kind gesture once more.

Colin said that he felt obliged to deliver the flowers because his wife had said he only sent her sexual emojis and never wrote her love letters. Scarlett said he just read it that way and disputed it. In a lighthearted argument, Colin said, “We have tape,” suggesting that they might provide evidence to support their claims.

After getting married in 2020, the pair went on to argue about things like themed parties and who is better at reading to their children. Each of them had 20 seconds to debate a certain topic.

Colin made the following joke about reading books: You know how actors sometimes do an entire acting thing and they tend to make it all about themselves? I’m referring to actors in general, not specific names. I think I let the literature take center stage. I am a vessel, and I allow the author to communicate through me.

They desire their mother’s touch, Scarlett retorted, adding that she does it better. They desire to be calmed. They desire to be taken to a different country. I’m asked to perform the voices. Mom, do the voices. I’m winning, too!

2020 WEDDING

In 2010, Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, a Hollywood power couple, met while Johansson was filming a sketch Jost had written for Saturday Night Live. Due to the COVID-19 epidemic, the pair, who had been romantically involved since 2017, was married in an intimate ceremony in Palisades, New York, in October 2020, in front of their loved ones.

Johansson was previously married to French writer and art dealer Romain Dauriac from 2014 to 2017 and to actor Ryan Reynolds from 2008 to 2011 before she married Colin.

I was unsure of what I needed or want from another person. On the Goop podcast in April 2023, she stated, “I think identifying those things was a game-changer for me.” She also mentioned that she and Jost had a successful relationship because they travel the world together.
