N.Y. Lottery: 2 winners, including 1 in NYC, take home $14K in jackpot TAKE 5 tickets

New York state recently saw the sale of two TAKE 5 jackpot-winning tickets, one of which was in New York City, for a total of over $14,000.

Two top-prize winning tickets for the February 2 TAKE 5 evening drawing, valued at $14,767, were sold, according to the New York Lottery.

At Brooklyn’s King McDonald & Grocery Corp., 958 McDonald Ave., one ticket was sold. Khizer #4 Service Station Inc., situated at 1260 Hicksville Rd. in Seaford, New York, sold another winning ticket.

The numbers 2, 7, 28, 29, and 37 are the winning ones.

TAKE Five numbers are selected from a range of 1 to 39. The five numbers on your ticket must match the winning five-number combination selected in order to win the TAKE 5 jackpot. Each game costs $1 to play.

Television broadcasts the drawing twice a day at 10:30 and 2:30 p.m. To find out if they have the winning numbers for the respective midday or evening drawing, players who have both the midday and evening drawings on the same ticket must verify their numbers at nylottery.ny.gov.

There is a 1 in 575,757 chance of winning the TAKE 5 jackpot.

Any amount of money won in a lottery draw can be claimed within a year of the drawing date.
