Mixed reality arcade title Galactic Traffic Control has received a significant update, introducing a fully immersive VR mode and a flexible Mini Mode that adapts to various play environments.

Developed by GnomeCap Games, Galactic Traffic Control launched in early access last December and features gameplay reminiscent of Project Aeroes. Players guide color-coded ships to matching ports using either hand tracking or Meta Touch controllers, all while avoiding collisions and environmental hazards.

The new “VR + Mini Mode Update,” released last week, brings two major additions. The first is a fully immersive VR Mode, which swaps mixed reality for entirely virtual environments. The second is Mini Mode, which allows players to bypass room meshing. Mini Mode comes in three sizes: Mini (default), Micro (ideal for seated play), and Mega, which introduces a radial ship-entry layout for a more expansive experience.

GnomeCap says this update lays the groundwork for the game’s full 1.0 release, expected in the coming months. The studio also confirmed that it’s developing a new game mode, expanding the soundtrack, and planning a full visual overhaul as part of the upcoming launch.
