Staten Island Bowling Hall of Fame to open doors for 11 more on 25th anniversary bash in November

It was impossible to foresee the popularity of the Staten Island Bowling Hall of Fame when its founding members founded it in 2000.

On Sunday, Nov. 24, 2024, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., the organization will hold its 25th anniversary dinner and enshrine 11 new members at the Staaten Restaurant in West Brighton. It turns out that the late Rab Wilkinson, Tommy Dee, and Donnie Walters got it right — and then some.

According to S.I. Bowling Hall of Fame director John Eadicicco, Adrienne Paccione, Walter Palmer, and John McLaughlin will receive recognition for meritorious service, while Nicole Camarda, Diana (Ragusa) Allocca, Dorothy Dee Graf, Melissa Hughes, Frank Passaro, Lou Rimi, Buddy Verardi, and Tony Everts will be inducted for superior performance.

Mike King will be given the Ben McNevich Memorial Award, and Terri Hart will be given the Gloria Simonson/Donna Zajac Memorial Award.

The recipient of the Rab Wilkinson Toast of the Town Award is Anne Trischetta, who just turned 99 years old.

At the evening, John LaSpina, who has been involved with the Bowlers to Veterans Link (BVL) for 50 years and operates three locations in the metropolitan area and two in Florida, will be presented with the Staten Island Bowling Hall of Fame’s Lifetime Achievement Award.

The High School All-Star Awards will be named in honor of longtime Country Lanes house pro Ray Laursen, who passed away last February, the Hall of Fame committee is also pleased to announce.

Currently, inductees can purchase tickets for the ceremony for $75, while additional guests can purchase tickets for $95. Dinner and an open bar are included in the ticket fee. It will cost $65 for children under the age of 18.

Pro bowlers Parker Bohn III, Kelly Kulick, and Johnny Petraglia are expected to attend.
