Staten Island’s newest social media star is baby Liam: 75 million views and counting

New York’s Staten Island A video of tiny Liam Frederick’s astonishment as he saw clearly for the first time went viral on TikTok, garnering 75 million views by Tuesday and even appearing on The Today Show. The infant from Staten Island is the focus of social media’s newest viral sensation.

Steph Mazzone-Meyer, Liam’s mother, took the video at Williams Eye Works, a Westerleigh optical store that has been providing services on Staten Island since 1995.

According to John Williams, who is wearing the brand-new blue glasses on Liam in the video, it was a little tense because he is completely speechless. You were a little tense when he first put on the glasses because his face was so neutral, but then he smiled, and your heart instantly melted.

Who doesn’t like the new glasses? #glasses#baby

John, 27, is the youngest of Chris Williams’s children and has been employed there since he was twelve years old, when he began sweeping the front of the store.

He mentioned the store’s motto, “When you see good, we look good,” and pointed out that the baby was obviously seeing well because everything appeared to him to be in order.

He remarked, “This is the first one where I actually saw the baby smile.” I especially enjoy fitting glasses for kids since their delight is unbridled. Knowing that they obviously had a positive response gives you a sense of satisfaction.

The middle child of the store owner, Valarie Williams, said that she has been cleaning the store and marking frames since 2005, when she was in fifth grade. She now works at the store as an optometrist, examining customers’ eyes.

It was quite thrilling. Everyone seems to be experiencing the video in a similar way, in my opinion. “It’s really touching,” Valarie remarked.

Steph Mazzone-Meyer, Liam’s mother, thanked Liam on Instagram after his video went viral.

“Thank you for the abundance of love and kindness for our little Liam,” she added. Even though we always thought he was a star, now everyone agrees! From the Meyer family, with love.
