Here are the 10 most expensive neighborhoods in NYC, reports shows

New York’s Staten Island — You will probably need to spend more than $1 million to purchase a property in more than two dozen neighborhoods in New York City, but in the most costly one, the price may be four times that amount.

A fresh reportTo find trends in the city’s real estate market and discover the priciest districts for home purchases, PropertyShark examined residential property sales around New York City in the third quarter of 2024.

Only Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and the Bronx were included in the data; Staten Island was not.

According to the data, 29 communities in New York City had median sales prices of at least $1 million between July 1 and September 30. SoHo was the most expensive district, with a median price of over $4 million.

According to the study, SoHo is now the most expensive area in New York City for the first time in eight years, with a typical sales price of $4.25 million.

With a median sales price of $1,150,000 in the third quarter of 2024, Manhattan topped all boroughs, including seven of the ten most expensive neighborhoods.

The median sales price in Brooklyn, which is home to the remaining three of the top ten most expensive areas, was $827,000, or 3% more than it was at the same time last year.

The median sales prices in the Bronx and Queens were $365,000 and $579,000, respectively, and 11 Queens communities and 0 Bronx neighborhoods were among the top 50 most expensive in the city.
