The bread truck’s owner had already fired Calixto, whose address was on Central Avenue in St. George. He attacked a 40-year-old man who used to work with him.

A criminal complaint states that the attack happened in Willowbrook at approximately 4:30 a.m. along the 2400 block of Victory Boulevard.

Authorities claimed that after pushing the 40-year-old guy to the ground, Calixto mounted him. then gave him roughly 20 punches to the face.

The victim was treated at a hospital for injuries that included swelling, bruises, and severe discomfort in his left face and eye, as well as an orbital floor fracture with entrapment in the left eye.

According to a press statement issued this week by Richmond County District Attorney Michael E. McMahon, the defendant decided to vent his misdirected rage on a former coworker, screaming on his victim’s face more than 20 times while holding his fist closed and breaking his orbital bone in the process.

“Without our NYPD partners and the unwavering commitment of Assistant District Attorneys Rebecca Jerome, Hannah Curley, and Jamie Capodieci, this guilty verdict and trial outcome would not have been possible,” McMahon said.
