Staten Island HS sports notebook: Farrell goes 3-0 in wrestling quad; Lions tie again in ice hockey

In a quad meet held Thursday night at St. Peter’s in New Brighton, the Monsignor Farrell wrestling team defeated the host team (53-19), St. Joseph by-the-Sea (66-9) and Xavier (45-24) to record a 3-0 record.

With their lone loss to St. Joseph’s of Metuchen, New Jersey, coach Pete Hamm’s Lions were still unbeaten in both New York and the CHSAA.
