Late on Wednesday night, chaos erupted near the intersection of Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard and West 116th Street in Harlem, Manhattan, when gunfire struck a city bus and injured two individuals. The incident occurred just before 11:45 p.m., sending shockwaves through the neighborhood.

A 22-year-old man sustained a gunshot wound to his left thigh and was swiftly transported to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital, where he was reported to be in stable condition. Meanwhile, an 18-year-old man was also injured, having been shot in the leg and driven to Harlem Hospital in a private vehicle. He, too, was listed in stable condition upon arrival.

The violence extended beyond the human toll as one of the bullets fired also struck an M16 bus traveling eastbound on West 116th Street, resulting in a shattered window. Miraculously, neither the driver nor any of the 12 passengers aboard the bus suffered any physical harm from the incident.
