New York’s Staten Island. Authorities in West Brighton say a man was involved in a medical emergency Monday morning when he collided with a delivery van.
According to a Deputy Commissioner of Public Information spokesperson, the collision happened at around 11 a.m. at the intersection of Forest and Greenleaf avenues.
According to investigators, the driver’s diabetes-related medical emergency caused the collision. The man was taken to Richmond University Medical Center for treatment by emergency personnel.
The collision did not result in any reported injuries.
A request for comment was not immediately answered by the FDNY.
