On Tuesday, five family members—three of them were children—were discovered dead in a Utah house, and a 17-year-old was hospitalized after suffering a gunshot wound, according to authorities.
Two adults, an 11-year-old boy, and two kids, aged 9 and 2, were among the deceased, according to West Valley City Police Department spokesperson Roxeanne Vainuku. How they died was not immediately apparent.
About nine miles southwest of Salt Lake City, near West Valley City, they were discovered in the home. They found the teenager in the garage.
Horrible, dreadful. During a press conference at night, Vainuku stated that this is something that will undoubtedly be a major concern for the detectives working on this case.
She stated that authorities do not think a suspect is at large and that the incident was limited to this one residence.
There are certain difficulties in getting in touch with the 17-year-old and learning more about him because he is hurt and in the hospital, Vainuku stated.
According to authorities, a relative called the police on Monday after attempting in vain to contact the 38-year-old resident of the house. When officers arrived at the house, nobody replied.
After the 17-year-old was discovered in the garage by the same relative, they returned on Tuesday afternoon.
According to Vainuku, police are conducting an investigation inside the house, speaking with nearby residents, and searching for evidence from devices like doorbell cameras.
