In a tragic turn of events, Sarah Miller, a grieving mother, has filed a lawsuit against the Schuyler Industry Community School District following the devastating loss of her two preschool children, Maria and Andrew Miller. The lawsuit stems from a fatal accident involving a school bus operated by Angela Spiker, a Schuyler County bus driver.
The incident occurred in March when Spiker, transporting three children to afternoon preschool, reportedly veered across lanes and collided with a semi-truck driven by David Coufal, resulting in a fiery crash that claimed the lives of five individuals, including Maria and Andrew.

According to court documents, Miller alleges that Spiker failed to exercise ordinary care while driving, thereby endangering the lives of others and causing the collision. The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $50,000 for the loss of both Maria and Andrew, citing Miller’s profound grief, sorrow, mental suffering, and loss of society. Despite efforts to reach out to the Schuyler Industry Community School District for comment, no response was obtained from the superintendent.
