Behind the scenes: Bruce Springsteen movie filming in N.J. with his love interest | Extras needed

On the set of the Bruce Springsteen film Deliver Me from Nowhere Tuesday in Bayonne, Jeremy Allen White had a ravenous appetite.

Australian actor Odessa Young, 26, who plays the Boss’s love interest in the movie, joined White, 33, who plays a younger version of the boss, as the film’s production progresses.

In a scene shot on the street next to a 1980s Chevy Camaro Z28, White, the Emmy winner from The Bear, and a barefoot Young (The Staircase, The Order) were seen sharing a kiss.

Filming also included a kid actor perched atop a toy horse, and filmmaker Scott Cooper (Crazy Heart, The Pale Blue Eye, Antlers, Black Mass) was in the vicinity.

Filming for Deliver Me from Nowhere is taking place throughout Jersey and is about the creation of Springsteen’s 1982 album, Nebraska. The 2023 novel Deliver Me from Nowhere by Warren Zanes of Montclair served as the inspiration for the film.

Earlier this month, when the film was being filmed in a number of local locations, including Bayonne, Springsteen personally appeared on set.

He gave White a hearty hug at the Hudson County city and autographed scripts for the actors and crew. When Springsteen, 75, was on the set of Rockaway, he embraced English actor Stephen Graham, who plays his father, Douglas Dutch Springsteen. Fans who had arrived to observe the Rahway filming were also given autographs by the Jersey music legend (see photo below).
