The Best Features of Staten Island in 2024: CJ

His narrative in brief:

When chart-topping rapper CJ had his backpack giveaway at Ho Brah in Charleston in late August, dozens of kids were beaming as they got backpacks, school supplies, food, clothes, sneakers, and a picture with him.

It’s a boon. It’s a blessing that I’m able to give back because things like this don’t happen very often on Staten Island. “I’m just really appreciative,” CJ added.

The blockbuster tune Whoopty, which has received over 474 million views on YouTube and raced to No. 10 on the Billboard Hot 100, was created by CJ, a Graniteville local. He has also received recognition for his work on the international popular song La Mam de la Mam.
