Chocolate protein bars recalled for potentially undeclared milk; 11 reactions reported

NuGo nutrition bar fans have bad news: two of their well-liked bars are still being recalled after being distributed to various locations with possibly unreported milk in them.

Amazon, Giant Eagle, Costco, Wegmans, and other retailers are recalling NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip bars and Dark Chocolate Pretzel with Sea Salt, as well as the multipack that includes both bars.

According to the FDA website, consuming these goods increases the risk of a serious or fatal allergic reaction in people who have a milk allergy or extreme sensitivity.

According to the FDA, 11 cases of allergic reactions were reported by people who consumed the bars, but the inquiry into the source of this undeclared milk is still underway.
