Commuter alert: Crash on Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge late in Tuesday a.m. rush hour

New York’s Staten Island. During the Tuesday morning rush hour, traffic was backed up on the Staten Island Expressway, heading toward Brooklyn.

Around 7:30 a.m., 511 NY reported that traffic was heavy from the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to at least Slosson Avenue.
