New York’s Staten Island. During the Tuesday morning rush hour, traffic is backed up on the Brooklyn-bound Staten Island Expressway.
Around 7:30 a.m., 511 NY reports that traffic backs up from the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge to at least Slosson Avenue.
The Verrazzano was already delayed when it crashed at the beginning of the morning rush hour.
The MTA sent an alert stating that the HOV lane was blocked on the upper level of the Brooklyn bound span.
According to the MTA, the emergency response started at approximately 5:30 a.m.
