New York’s Staten Island. On Staten Island and across New York City, commuters are dealing with difficult weather on Wednesday morning, such as fog, rain, and slick roadways.

Local roads may flood as a result of water pooling.

In our borough, the fog is so thick that it is hard to see far down the road before sunrise.

There is a chance of thunderstorms along with heavy rain at times. According to AccuWeather.com, precipitation is expected to persist throughout the day and into the night.

In the afternoon, the winds can increase. From midday until 10 p.m., there is a wind advisory in force. The National Weather Service predicts 20 to 30 mph south winds with gusts of up to 50 mph.

The morning rush hour temperatures are abnormally warm, reaching the 50s. According to AccuWeather.com, the temperature in our borough is predicted to reach a high of 63 degrees.
