Cops rush man to hospital after he was struck by stray bullet while aboard Brooklyn bus: Report

Brooklyn police saved a guy who was hit by a stray bullet while on a bus in Brooklyn early on Sunday, according to AM Metro New York.

According to AMNY, the gunshot occurred in Brownsville, close to the intersection of Rockaway and Hegeman Avenues, at 1:20 a.m.

The 25-year-old male victim was traveling west on the B15 bus down Rockaway Avenue when two gunshots entered the passenger side window, one of which hit the man in the neck, according to law enforcement sources who spoke to the outlet.

According to the site, NYPD police reacted after the bus came to a stop at the intersection of Hegeman Avenue and Thomas S. Boyland Street.

When the responding cops saw the injured man, they helped him and took him to Brookdale Hospital, which was close. According to the publication, the man’s status was reported as stable.

Police told the site that no one has been arrested in the ongoing probe.
