I was raped by a family member, but because of unique circumstances, I only notified one other family member, to whom I pledged to keep the information private. She recently became upset with me over my religious convictions, and now she threatens to inform my grown children who attacked me if I die before her.

I hope she shouted it in rage, but I’m afraid because I know my kids would hurt, if not kill, the rapist for what he did. Why this family member would say such a thing is beyond me. What actions or words may I take to keep my secret safe? My offender is currently incarcerated for different reasons, and God has taken care of me. TERRIFIED IN THE WEST
