A person who crashed and flipped a car on a popular Willowbrook street Monday night is being sought by police on Staten Island, New York.
Around 7:25 p.m., witnesses reported that a red Honda Civic collided with a utility pole near the intersection of Forest Hill Road and Pilcher Street. The driver then reportedly got out of the vehicle and fled in an unidentified direction, according to an NYPD spokesman.
The car, which was observed resting against the curb with serious damage, including a crushed front end and a cracked windshield, was brought upright by an NYPD Emergency Services Unit. What seemed to be the whole contents of the car were strewn over the road, and a sizable splatter of debris coated a neighboring sidewalk.
According to the spokeswoman, no other vehicles were involved in the collision, and no injuries were recorded.
There is still an investigation going on.
