Dump truck tipped over, caught by wires on major Staten Island road

New York’s Staten Island. As first responders attempted to upright a dump truck in Travis on Tuesday morning, a section of Victory Boulevard was temporarily blocked off to traffic.

Late Tuesday morning, the truck was flipped onto its side at Victory Boulevard and Signs Road. The FDNY received a call about the incident at 10:52 a.m., according to an FDNY representative.

The truck was spotted leaning on its passenger side at the scene, its raised bed entangled in tree branches and wires.

According to the FDNY, one person declined medical treatment.

Traffic on Travis Avenue stalled as drivers tried to navigate Victory Boulevard, which was restricted to traffic due to the emergency response.
