Edible Island Food Fair returns to Staten Island Museum on Dec. 7

New York’s Staten Island. Where can one drink a real Puerto Rican coquito, eat sourdough bread made with wild yeast, and enjoy smoky coffee made with Liberian beans? On Saturday, December 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., the edible epicenter will take place at the Staten Island Museum during the Edible Island Food Fair.

Admission to the museum is free. Small-batch food and beverages prepared by local chefs who taste and sell their creations are featured at the yearly exhibition. The event is a part of the Holiday Hop, a broader celebration at Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Gardens that features a collection of artists set up across the Livingston campus’s Great Hall, Noble Maritime Collection, and other locations.

Both cash and cashless payments are accepted by vendors.

The following regional merchants will be featured at the food fair:



  • Always Eat Good Food

    Make sourdough with wild yeast, from Trinidad and Tobago, range of fare


  • Belli Baci Bakery

    Tottenville seven-layer cookies, doughnuts and homemade breads


  • Beezy Beez Honey

    Locally harvested honey


  • Botanga s Best Coffee

    Liberica coffee with a smoky flavor and less caffeine showcasing Filipino specialties including Food of the Gods Tablea. ground-up cacao beans, usually heated and combined with water to make a traditional Filipino chocolate drink called sikwate.


  • Butter Me Up

    gourmet butter and scones


  • Caldino s Italian Cuisine

    A caterer that presents freshly made mozzarella, burrata, ricotta, pasta and sauces.


  • Castleton Farm to Bagel

    Bagels with assorted cream cheeses and toppings made from locally harvested fruits and vegetables. The stand will present their hot honey chicken sandwich, a hot seller at their West Brighton location.


  • Hazel s 423

    Food truck at Empire Outlets with Southern food specialties including bourbon chicken with rice and peas.


  • Isn t That Nuts

    All things nuts


  • La Tortuga Kitchen

    Tacos, guacamole, salsas, tres leches cups and other Mexican fare from cooks who normally staff this popular food truck.


  • Lebanese Eatery

    Assorted finger foods from Lebanon that can be packed to go or stay for consumption at a few tables offered to guests.


  • Maddie s Sweet Treats

    Assorted cookies baked with a charitable aspect; snickerdoodle are a specialty.


  • Sweet Obsessions by JAM

    A variety of baked goods that includes pecan sticky buns, oatmeal cream pies, spiced cranberry jam-filled cookies, plus unusual baked goods and pastries.


  • Whimsical by Mily

    Puerto Rican desserts and seasonal flans plus a virgin coquito, a blend of sweet cream and spices that can be spiked for the holidays or served as is.

On November 27, 2024, at 1:00 p.m., White Castle’s Original Slider Stuffing recipe will be back for the holidays.

On November 26, 2024, at 9:49 a.m., producers Pete and Bette Napolitano present a new cookbook to Staten Island.

Only on Saturday will the Edible Island Food Fair be held. On the other hand, entry to the museum is free all weekend. On Saturday, December 7, and Sunday, December 8, the Holiday Hop will take place at the Noble Maritime Collection and Great Hall on campus.
