Facial moisturizer recall: Consumers urged to stop using this skin-care item

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a recall of a well-known face moisturizer that was marketed online across the country.

The Ultra Repair Cream, Coconut Vanilla, 0.5% colloidal oatmeal, is being recalled by First Aid Beauty because it was not designed for commercial distribution.

On November 20, 2024, the business said on its website, FirstAidBeauty.com, that it had discovered that it had unintentionally distributed 14-ounce Ultra Repair Cream Coconut Vanilla.

The recall notice states that the product was accidentally distributed when it was meant for quarantine. A deviation from Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP) occurs when a process or product fails to meet manufacturing standards. Any point in the production process is susceptible to deviations.

The expiration dates of the affected containers are April 10, 2026, and April 11, 2026.

The FDA has categorized it as a Class II recall, which is a case where exposure to or use of a violating product may result in short-term or medically reversible adverse health effects or when there is a remote chance of substantial adverse health effects.

The affected customers received a replacement Ultra Repair Cream Grapefruit along with an email. Customers who bought this product were instructed to stop using the Coconut Vanilla Ultra Repair Cream and to discard it.
