Famous pollster who voted for Harris rips Biden over controversial pardon

New York’s Staten Island — President Joe Biden’s decision to pardon his son has drawn criticism from one of the country’s top pollsters, who urges voters to reject any Democrat who does not oppose the self-serving choice.

Biden reversed his previous pledges not to utilize the exceptional powers of the presidency for the benefit of his family members when he pardoned his son Hunter on Sunday night, avoiding a potential jail sentence for federal felony gun and tax offenses, according to the Associated Press.

Renowned pollster Nate Silver, who claimed to have voted for Vice President Kamala Harris last month, rushed to the social media site X shortly after the announcement was made to vehemently condemn the choice and the president, calling Biden a senile and self-centered old guy.

According to Silver, the Biden administration has made it clear time and time again that a pardon would not be given. On November 8, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said, “We’ve been asked that question multiple times,” ruling out a pardon or mercy for the younger Biden. Our response remains unchanged: no.

This was a persistent untruth from the White House. Perhaps the most significant contributing reason to Trump 2.0 was Biden’s unyielding determination on seeking reelection, and now he’s further damaging the party brand he helped to demolish, Silver said.

Why, in your opinion, does Trumpism gain popularity? Actually, it’s more difficult than that. However, a portion of it can be attributed to the fact that elites from all political backgrounds are utterly self-serving and morally reprehensible. Additionally, he added, Democrats assert their moral superiority when Trump does not.

He continued by warning his 3.3 million followers that if they don’t speak out against the pardon right away, they shouldn’t vote for any Democratic candidate in 2028.

Biden claimed that his son’s prosecution was politically driven and a miscarriage of justice in a statement issued Sunday night, saying, “Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter.”

According to Biden, the claims in his cases only arose after a number of his congressional rivals encouraged them to disparage me and prevent my election. Given the facts of Hunter’s situation, no sane person could conclude that Hunter was singled out merely because he is my son.

Adding that he reached the choice this weekend, Biden said, “I hope Americans will understand why a father and a president would come to this decision.”
