FDA issues recall on these cookies for containing a dangerous allergen

New York’s Staten Island. In the United States, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has recalled a well-known cookie brand due to potentially fatal allergies.

Following a recall by the Italian product producer, the FDA informed on Tuesday that the Colussi Cantuccini Chocolate Drops chocolate chip cookies, which are sold by D. Coluccio & Sons, were recalled in the US.

According to the FDA’s notice, the recall was started after it was found that the product containing almonds was sold in packaging that concealed their existence. A follow-up examination revealed that the issue was brought on by a brief malfunction in the business’s packing and production procedures.

The product comes in a 10.58-ounce blue bag with the UPC 8002590006020 on the reverse. The bag is marked with lot numbers S 3540152 BBD 15-01-2025 and L354150 BBD 29-05-2025.

As of right now, no diseases have been linked to this issue.

Customers are encouraged to return Colussi Cantuccini Chocolate Drops cookie packages for a complete refund to the store where they were purchased.

According to the FDA, customers can email [email protected] or call 718-436-6700 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with any inquiries.
