FDNY marshals determine cause of fire at Staten Island high school

New York’s Staten Island. According to a person familiar with the inquiry, the FDNY fire marshals have concluded that a lithium-ion battery was the cause of the fire that broke out at Staten Island Technical High School in New Dorp last week.

At the high school, 485 Clawson St., the fire was reported shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday.
