FDNY pulls 2 people from SUV following multi-vehicle crash on Staten Island

New York’s Staten Island. On Sunday night, a big emergency response was sent to Annadale due to a multi-vehicle crash.

According to an FDNY spokeswoman, the incident happened at approximately 8:35 p.m. near Annadale Road and Pine Terrace.

At the intersection of Annadale and Pine, a Nissan SUV and a Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed, according to a witness at the scene who spoke to the Advance/SILive.com.

The cause of the crash was not confirmed by officials.

The witness claimed that he and the driver of the Jeep tried to assist the two Nissan occupants by opening the trunk of the car when the Nissan was turned on its driver side.

Emergency communications indicate that FDNY personnel rescued the Nissan’s passengers from their car. Soon after the collision, the Nissan’s roof seems to have been separated from the rest of the car.

The two people that were released from the Nissan were taken to Staten Island University Hospital in Ocean Breeze by FDNY/EMS in an undisclosed condition, according to the FDNY spokesperson. The FDNY didn’t disclose any more details.

Details of the collision were not immediately available to the NYPD.
