According to a department official, the FDNY was notified of the struck gas line on Finley Avenue at 10:36 a.m.
According to a National Grid spokesperson, the FDNY and the gas utility business responded after a non-National Grid third-party contractor impacted a service line.
The FDNY spokeswoman responded by stating that the building has been evacuated. As of right now, no injuries have been recorded.
According to a National Grid spokesperson, the incident affected one customer.
According to the utility’s spokesperson, National Grid has since safely secured the gas service. Repairs are still being made.
