Governor Hochul Announces Free Entry to New York State Parks This Week!

Governor Kathy Hochul has declared that all New York State Parks will offer free admission this Wednesday and Thursday in response to anticipated record-breaking temperatures across the state. The initiative aims to provide a safe and cool environment for New Yorkers amidst the extreme heat.

“Extreme heat can be dangerous for New Yorkers,” Hochul emphasized. “I’m doing everything I can to help families stay safe and cool this week.”

Additionally, Hochul announced the early opening of Woodlawn Beach State Park, which will temporarily open ahead of the regular season.

“I encourage everyone to take advantage of free and early admission to our world-class beaches, pools, and other State Park sites to beat the heat as we expect record temperatures across the state,” she added.

This proactive measure is part of a broader effort to mitigate the impact of the heatwave and ensure the well-being of residents across New York State.
