Green Island, NY, is gearing up for its annual summer concert series at the iconic Green Island Gazebo (GIG), located just north of Albany. Celebrating its 21st year, the GIG concerts are a beloved tradition in this close-knit community. They offer free performances every Wednesday from July 10 to August 28.
The lineup features returning favorites and exciting new additions, culminating in a special performance by Jerry Gretzinger, an Emmy Award-winner known for his Sinatra tribute show titled “Sinatra: The Man. The Myth. The Music.” Scheduled for July 24, this performance promises to be a highlight of the season.
Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and enjoy the music in the picturesque Lower Hudson Ave Park, where the GIG concerts have been held for over two decades. In case of rain, the shows will relocate under the Collar City Bridge on Hudson Avenue.
