Authorities in Los Angeles reported that they made 29 additional arrests in the fire zones during the course of the night, including one suspect in a burglary who was purportedly dressed as a firefighter.

According to officials, four of the arrests were made in the Palisades fire zone and 25 in the Eaton fire zone.

Regarding a man breaking into houses while wearing a fire jacket and helmet, Los Angeles Police Department Chief Jim McDonnell remarked, “We have people who will go to all ends to do what they do.”

According to the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, one individual was apprehended while operating a truck in the Palisades region. Inside the car, more suspects were discovered. According to officials, a brief check with the fire department revealed that the individuals were not affiliated with the fire station, despite their pretense.

According to Sheriff Robert Luna, some of the people detained had narcotics and firearms, while others were not locals.

Earlier last week, about 20 similar arrests were made.

The National Guard and police are still patrolling the fire zones, and curfews have been maintained.
