New York’s Staten Island — A congressman from New York City is determined to outperform congestion pricing.
On X, the website that was once known as Twitter, City Councilmember Vickie Paladino (R-Queens) proposed that New Yorkers who were upset about the congestion pricing should use powerful lasers to destroy the tolling cameras, according to a recent Gothamist piece.
Important warning: A camera sensor can be destroyed by a powerful green laser pointer, such as those sold on Ebay for less than $30. Therefore, if you purchase one of these lasers, make sure not to aim it at any cameras as this could cause lasting harm!
