Los Angeles According to a complaint filed by a former Fox Sports hairstylist, former broadcaster Skip Bayless repeatedly made inappropriate attempts toward her, including offering her $1.5 million to have sex with him.
According to a copy of the lawsuit filed Friday in California Superior Court in Los Angeles, lawyers representing Noushin Faraji, a hair stylist at Fox for over ten years, are suing Bayless, Fox Sports, and its parent company, Fox Corporation, for undisclosed damages.
According to the complaint, Fox executives created a toxic workplace where senior managers and on-air stars, like Bayless, could mistreat employees without worrying about facing consequences.
Those who claim to have experienced sexual assault or other forms of abuse are often not identified by the Associated Press in writing or photos unless they have made their identities public, as Faraji did when he filed the case.
When AP called and texted Bayless’s lawyer, Jared Levine, for comment, he did not immediately reply. Phone calls and emails left at Bayless’s talent agency were not immediately answered.
Bayless was not available for direct comment.
In a statement, Fox Sports stated that it takes the accusations seriously but declined to comment further due to the ongoing legal action.
According to Faraji, Bayless’s advances, which started in 2017 and lasted until last year, included persistent hugs, cheek kisses, and remarks that he could transform Faraji’s life if she had sex with him.
She alleges in the lawsuit that Bayless offered Faraji $1.5 million for sex in 2021 and then threatened to fire her for refusing.
According to the lawsuit, Ms. Faraji repeatedly stated that she was a professional who had to be considerate of all talent, even though she knew he was attempting to coerce her into having sex with him.
Prior to his show’s cancellation in 2024 due to a sharp decline in viewership following the departure of co-host Shannon Sharpe, Bayless was employed by Fox Sports.
According to Faraji, she was let go in 2024 for false accusations. According to the lawsuit, she first kept quiet about her treatment at Fox because she thought that speaking up could put her in danger.
Additionally, the lawsuit alleges that Fox employees were not compensated for overtime or their full salary. On behalf of more employees who were allegedly affected, it is requesting class-action status.
Amidst an investigation into claims of sexual harassment, Fox Sports dismissed its head of programming in 2017.
