There has been talk about Lakers star LeBron James visiting New York more than 14 years after The Decision, which upset Knicks fans.
The reason for this, according to ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, is that the Los Angeles Mavericks traded Luka Don, Maxi Kleber, and Markieff Morris for Anthony Davis, Max Christie, and a 2029 first-round lottery pick.
Smith stated the following on Monday’s episode of ESPN’s Get Up:
Smith stated via Awful Announcing, “I go to Rich Paul and tell him I will waive my no-trade clause for one of two teams.” It will either be to travel to New York with the Knicks or to Golden State to join Steph Curry.
Since the Knicks gave up five first-round picks to get Mikal Bridges, they would now be more challenging. Five first-round selections, despite my passion for Bridges. I won’t elaborate, though; they did what they did. They have a lot of assets, and the Lakers are obviously in need of them.
Smith said the Lakers have one first-round pick remaining in 2031, excluding the first-round pick they acquired from the Mavericks in the transaction. If the Lakers are serious about moving James, this makes the Knicks a desirable trading partner.

Late Saturday night, the sports world was taken by surprise by the Don. Anthony Edwards, a player for the Minnesota Timberwolves, expressed sympathy with Luka and stated he is afraid for his own future.
Edwards’ emotions are not unique to him.
Sa a Don i, Luka Doncic’s father and a former Slovenian head coach and professional player, criticized the Mavericks for their duplicity in the deal, saying Luka didn’t deserve it at all.
