In Seminole County, Florida, law enforcement authorities have made a significant breakthrough, arresting 20 individuals connected to a large-scale drug trafficking network. According to Seminole County Sheriff Dennis Lemma, the operation also involves the search for 13 additional suspects.
The arrested individuals are accused of distributing various illicit substances, including dangerous drugs like fentanyl, heroin, methamphetamine, and “Molly.” Additionally, they are allegedly involved in trafficking weapons such as machine guns, rifles, and handguns.
One particularly concerning aspect of the operation involved the use of a drone to transport prohibited items beyond the secure perimeter of a Florida jail. These items included cell phones, SIM cards, razors, tobacco, and other contraband.
Sheriff Lemma emphasized the gravity of this situation, highlighting the inherent danger posed by such actions. He expressed relief that their investigation enabled them to intercept the contraband before it could reach the inside of the facility, preventing potential harm.
